Those of you who follow me on insta will know by now that i am a huge lover of a well styled cake area. in this blog i am going to share you some of my favourite cake styling areas. I am Zoey, a Manchester wedding stylist and this is my blog that will hopefully inspire and encourage you along your wedding planning journey.
Why style a cake area? a cake for your wedding or any event can be a big investment. So, why stick it in the corner on a small round table? Well, usually because that was the done thing or because you have way to much to think about event planning and the thought of adding in styling a cake area makes you want to scream! Well don't worry as just adding a few key elements will make all the difference!
Here I still used the round table and just added a few key elements as I wanted the floral display above to do all the talking! This would work just as well with no floral display above. thing to think about, tablecloth here I used grey chiffon, this is great to add texture and float over the cloth that may be provided. I added height and then another coloured chiffon to keep the floaty organic feel. A few extra treats were added to the cake order and I used clear acrylic boxes to add extra height but not to break up the organic feel from the chiffon.

One key element is enough to take your cake table from blah to the stylish cake display your guests will have ever seen. i am loving macrame and it is set to be a huge 2019 wedding trend and i am sure a 2020 wedding trend also! Here are a few ways I have used macrame when setting up a cake feature area.

I love to add different heights and textures to a dessert or cake area. plinths are a great way to do this. They make the whole cake or dessert area a real feature of the event, instagram worthy pics!
